Sigma Zeta Chapter at University of Michigan

Kappa Delta

Our Officers

Rachel Penn

President After spending the past year serving as VP-New Member Education, I knew my time in leadership in Kappa Delta was just beginning. As VPNME I was able to build amazing relationships with the wonderful women of PC '21 and loved being able to show them what being a KD means to me. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for our chapter and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead us throughout the next year.

Vice President I joined KD because throughout recruitment, every person I talked to was so genuine and supportive. I’ve had a great experience in KD, so I decided to run for council to make everyone else’s experience just as great as mine. I ran for VP specifically because I love the behind-the-scenes, supportive work that the VP does.

VP Events & Programming I joined KD for its unconditional support, friendship, philanthropy, and its passion for building confidence for women. I knew that I could see myself surrounded by people who would want me to succeed to the fullest and uplift my self-growth. With all of these great things that I received, I decided that I wanted to be on council to give back to the Sigma Zeta chapter the way that it gave me so much love and a place to call home.

VP Finance I love KD because of the people who inspire me daily to be a better person and leader. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve on council and work with such amazing sisters to continue to grown and strengthen our chapter and sisterhood.

VP Inclusions All throughout recruitment, I felt excited to come back to KD because the girls I talked to were genuinely interested in getting to know me and sharing all the wonderful parts about KD sisterhood and philanthropy. I fell in love with KD because of the sisters I met and their stories about Shamrock, sisterhood ice skating and so much more. I ran for VP-Inclusion because I have a deep passion for our Sisterhood and want to help all the girls in our chapter feel more connected and loved by KD.

VP Learning and Development Throughout recruitment I felt myself having a natural connection with every KD I talked to. Since bid day I have truly felt that I ended up in a place that felt like home, with genuine sisters that are not afraid to be their authentic selves. I knew I wanted to be in a leadership position that allows me to create connections with new members and active sisters to help the new KD's find relationships that I was lucky enough to make when I was in their shoes. I am so glad that my fellow council members have created a supportive environment so that I can fulfill my role with confidence!

VP Recruitment & Marketing

From very early on in the recruitment process, Kappa Delta stood out to me. It was just the community of driven, kind and confident girls I was looking for. I wanted to VP-R & M to help build the same wonderful process that brought me home.

Panhellenic Delegate Rush can often feel overwhelming, but whenever I had a round at KD I felt at ease and the process would feel fun. KD has allowed me to be part of an incredible community with some of the most amazing women. They have instilled a confidence in me that I did not know I had, and I cannot imagine what college would be like without them.
